Carp Fishing on the Fly: An Evening with Eric Leininger
March 14 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm$33.00 – $55.00
Eric Leininger is the head guide at Northwest Flyfishing Outfitters in NE Portland. Eric previously spent nine seasons guiding at the Goodnews Lodge in Alaska and five seasons guiding on the Grande Ronde River in Washington.
Eric currently guides fly anglers for steelhead, smallmouth bass, carp, and tiger musky. He is a Simms ambassador, a G Loomis Elite ambassador, a Hatch Outdoors pro, and a Scientific Anglers regional pro. His website is Fly Fish Portand (flyfishportland.com)
The Columbia River is a massive watershed famously known as a superhighway for salmon and steelhead but often overlooked as an unbelievable warm water fishery, especially for carp. With more than 150 miles of prime habitat and flats, the Columbia River offers crystal clear water, and large tailing fish. You’ll have shots at 15 lb. fish every day, and there are giants in the 20-30 lb. class as well.
Join us on Tuesday March 14 at the University Club for an in-person dinner and presentation or log in from home for the presentation on Zoom as we take a trial run with a hybrid live/Zoom event.
