Announcing the Flyfishers’ Club of Oregon Honorary Auction Co-Chair Brian Silvey!

We are so proud to have one of Oregon’s finest guides, with an equal commitment to conservation, as our Honorary Co-chair for 2021!

Brian Silvey has been engaged in conservation as long as he’s been an angler and guide. He grew up on the Deschutes and Sandy rivers, and has spent thirty-years guiding on those waters. He has been engaged in supporting conservation efforts in Oregon by direct participation with conservation organization boards as well as through his own actions in the field and how he treats the fish he encounters. He holds a degree in Fisheries – Fish Biology and Fisheries Management. He is also an Experimental Biologist Aid for the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife.

Brian comments, “It is my pleasure to be the Honorary Co-chair of the Flyfishers’ Club of Oregon auction with Janet Arenz. The Club auction raises funds for their Flyfishers’ Foundation each year. The Foundation has given over $376,000 for conservation and research to support the health of Oregon’s fish and water. Please participate in the auction to help our conservation efforts.”

Please read the Conservation Corner in the April FLYLINE newsletter. It focuses on the details of the project our 2021 grantee is working to achieve.
