President Mike Radakovich with Sandy River (AK) King

Ho Ho Ho!!!

December is a wonderful time of year, time to be with family, friends and fishing guides. We all have our own way of celebrating the Holidays, we can buy a 12 ½ foot tree of a 12 ½ foot fly rod!! Both will bring joy.

The Board of our Flyisher’s Club of Oregon would like to say: Thank You, Thank you for attending our events, Thank you for being a member, Thank you for volunteering and serving on committees and Thank you for supporting the auction.

Our club is in good shape financially. Membership which is the heart of our Club began 2022 with 128 members and as of November we are at 139. We have 11 new members!!! Thank you for joining our/your club.

Our Membership Chair, Rick Pay has served as a outstanding volunteer and is stepping down to allow new blood to take over the role.

Lisa Hansen, who has been a tireless editor of the Flyline for many years, would like to spend more time with her grandchildren and other activities. We are looking for that special person to assume role as editor of the Flyline.

Jim Hillas, Program Chair, has provided the members incredible speakers for the monthly dinners and organized great fishing outings.

Kevin Quinn is our new Treasurer and is doing an excellent job. Ken Betschart, the outgoing treasurer, is staying on as the FCO bookkeeper. Thank you, Kevin & Ken.

Janet Arenz, did an outstanding job on this year’s virtual auction. Thank you. We are looking for those who want to help  organize and plan the next auction.

We are excited about 2023, the Club will have incredible programs and events that will educate, entertain, and make us laugh!!  Stay tuned!!
