The FCO annual summer picnic will be on Tuesday August 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the casting pond at Westmoreland Park in SE Portland. This is one of our most popular events and it’s a great time to reconnect with fellow members. The picnic is also the perfect opportunity to bring a guest, so think about friends and acquaintances who might be interested in learning more about the great sport of flyfishing.

We’ll have a delicious Italian meal catered by DeNicolas Restaurant and our friends at Royal Treatment fly shop will have fun things to share.  There also will be plenty of swag to raffle off so mark your calendar and plan to attend.

Fun fact:  the Westmoreland casting pond dates back to 1936 and was designed by fly casting champion and local Portlander Marvin Hedge, who went on to become a charter member of the FCO. So, bring your favorite rod and throw a line while celebrating our club’s history.

Reminder:  the event is FREE, but you need to bring a chair and adult beverages are BYO.  Also, and most importantly, we need a head count for DeNicolas so you need to sign up on the Club website and “purchase” your free ticket(s).  If you are bringing any guests (including spouses, kids, etc.), please list their name as well.
