2017 Casting Picnic

The FCO Picnic is Back!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday August 10th with the location: Westmoreland Park, Picnic Area G. Program chair Mike Radakovich will be setting up in person Club meetings again beginning with our annual picnic! Watch for updates on the website and in next month’s Flyline. It will be great to see fellow members again and catch up on the fishing stories that didn’t find their way into print!

New Member, Fishing Stories, Etc.

Fly fishing enthusiasts continue to find the FCO and join our club despite the in person meeting hiatus. Thankfully, we are gradually resuming our activities. Members are getting together in larger groups to get out on the water.

Our most recent new member is Jason Fornell from Tigard. He enjoys kayaking the surf and fishes for salmon, rockfish, and lingcod. He also chases the wily carp. Jason wants to get into steelhead fishing so he will definitely have opportunities to learn with our Club! Welcome Jason!

Rick Pay with sweet trout.

Quite a few members and all their closest friends were out on the D last month and word has it the fishing was fantastic! A knee injury kept me off the water during the salmon fly hatch but I viewed your pictures with vicarious pleasure. I have my caddis box ready for early summer fishing though!

Steve Willhite hooked a beaut.

Steve Willhite got into some great fish during his trip with fellow FCO members.

Rick Pay joined Jim Hillas on what looked like a fun trip. Looks like those redsides had Jim all tuckered out!

One way to board a drift boat???
