I’m excited for the annual Flyfisher Foundation Fundraising Auction and Keith Hansen Memorial Paddle Raise next month. Your auction chair Janet Arenz is working hard to ensure a successful event. A reminder that the auction date is May 7, which is one week earlier than usual. Be sure to join us for a fun night and a chance to get some hosted fly fishing trips, fishing gear, wine, and plenty more. The auction is also a great way to introduce prospective members to the club so think about inviting your other fishing friends and neighbors.
No exciting fishing stories for me this month, and no fish period. Perhaps that is karma for heading over to the dark side for a day of gear fishing in search of springers on the Willamette last week.
Your Flyfishers’ Club and Flyfisher Foundation boards will meet on April 16 to finalize plans for the auction and tend to other business. On that note, we have a single at-large director position available on the Flyfishers’ Club board. If you are looking for a chance to help guide the club into the future, we would love to fill our roster. Please let me know if you are interested in serving as a board director.
