Don’t Forget!
Daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 12th and ends Sunday, November 05, 2023. Don’t forget to set the clocks 1 hour ahead!!! Yes, you will lose 1 hour of sleep the first day. That is for only one day, for the next 6 months you can get up and enjoy earlier light to head out fishing or spend time in the great outdoors. Currently only Arizona and Hawaii do not recognize day light saving time.
I would like to extend with gratitude, a warm welcome to Bill Baker as our newest club member. To our members, don’t forget to welcome Bill when you see him at one of our awesome events.
March 14, Eric Leininger will be presenting on Fly Fishing for Carp on the mainstem of the Columbia. Don’t forget to sign up the dinner meeting. Jim Hillas Program Chair just sent out the invite.
The Flyfisher’s Club and the Flyfisher Foundation jointly hired Solid Ground Consulting, a Portland- based firm, to help with the development of plans for the future that will strengthen our ability to contribute to the activities that enhance the Club and Foundation.
Save the date: Tuesday, May 9th May 2023. We are not holding our annual auction in 2023, however, will be having a dinner meeting and the annual Keith Hansen Memorial Paddle Raise. Don’t forget to mark your calendar, Tuesday, May 09th 2023. See the March Member Matters page for the 2023 Conservation Grantee announcement.
With Gratitude,
Mike Radakovich, President, FCO
