Summer Solstice, June 21st marks the beginning of summer and is the longest day of the year. We are all ready to enjoy the sunshine and warm days and cool evenings after a very wet spring!
I would like to thank Janet Arenz for doing a fantastic job with this year’s annual auction. We had incredible items which were actively bid. The Keith Hansen Memorial Paddle Raise was successful in supporting Water Watch.
Trout fishing has been incredible on our local lakes and rivers.
We are all watching and concerned about the steelhead crossing the Bonneville Dam. Steelhead fishing some of our favorite rivers is dependent on the fishing showing up in large numbers.
Keep your eyes on the Website for our upcoming monthly events. The July monthly dinner meeting will focus on Euro nymphing. Jim Hillas, the Program Chair, has an incredible line up of speakers for our enjoyment and pleasure.
The annual picnic will be at Westmorland casting ponds on Tuesday, August 16th.
Everyone, enjoy the summer and get out to fish, fish, fish!! I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events.
Sincerely,
Mike Radakovich, President
