Flyfishers' Club of Oregon

The Flyfishers’ Club of Oregon was founded in 1961 to promote and preserve the art, science and history of the sport of fly fishing. We are an active club with a mixed membership of avid expert anglers and those new to the sport.

Flyfisher Foundation

The Flyfisher Foundation was started by the Club in 1973 to support education about fisheries, preservation of the historic literature about fly-fishing and environmental conservation.

We are a vibrant community where enthusiasts can connect, share experiences, and explore new fishing opportunities. We organize regular outings to prime fishing locations, providing members with the chance to practice their skills in diverse environments.

The club offers a variety of educational programs, including seminars, demonstrations, and mentoring opportunities, designed to enhance members' knowledge of fly fishing techniques, entomology, and conservation principles.

Conservation

The Flyfisher Foundation, founded by the Flyfishers' Club in 1973, supports the conservation of aquatic ecosystems and the protection of fish habitats. Together, for example, the Club and Foundation support an to a conservation organization, and also support the Tom McAllister Scholarship given annually to an Oregon State University student studying a topic related to fisheries and , master degree student.
