Catch Magazine’s Todd Moen Highlighted our October Club Diner Meeting
The October Club dinner meeting was attended by nearly 50 Club members and guests, all of whom were enthralled by short films filmed, edited, and produced by guest presenter Todd Moen.
Moen travels the world, filming exotic fly-fishing locations. His films not only capture the fishing story but also the beauty and distinctiveness of the local ecosystem HE IS FILMING.
Moen showed FOUR short films at the October dinner and let the films do most of the talking. Safe to say, the eyes of those in attendance were riveted to the screen. If you missed the event and have not seen Moen’s work, look him up on YouTube. You won’t regret the time investment.

Our Holiday Celebration featuring Tom Bie has sold out, but raffle tickets can still be purchased here (you don’t need to present to win).

2026 Dinner Meeting Schedule and Speakers Announced
The Club’s Program Committee recently announced the dates and speakers for the five dinner meetings scheduled for 2026. The dates of each meeting and the speaker for that dinner are listed below (with links to the calendar notice on our website). Once again, the Committee has enlisted five great speakers and notable names in flyfishing to speak at Club dinners in 2026!
More details of each dinner and its speaker will be published well in advance of the meeting date.

New Membership Dues Structure for 2026.
As mentioned in the President’s letter, our Board has voted to raise the annual membership dues for individuals from $100 to $125, and we are adding a new membership level for couples at $200 to encourage more couples to join the club together. This is the first membership increase in over a decade – the extra funds will be used to help our programs and membership teams with their outreach, additional events, and continued quality speakerships. These will take effect immediately and will apply to auto-renewals starting in January. Keep in mind that 20% of all dues go to the Foundation to support its conservation efforts.
Membership auto-renewal starts in January.
Last year, we asked members to renew using their credit cards to facilitate auto-renewal of their membership each year and to ensure they have a form of payment on file for club outings, purchases, and other occasions. Renewal occurs 12 months from your last renewal or sign-up date. For many club members, that will be in January. You will receive a system-generated email informing you that we will process your renewal within a week or so, unless you choose to opt out. Those notifications will start being sent later this month. Please ensure your member profile and payment information remain up to date. We hope this simplifies things for our members moving forward.
Club To Launch Membership Drive In January 2026
Over 30 new members joined the Flyfishers’ Club in 2025, providing a boost of energy and new blood to the Club and demonstrating that the Club is still relevant.
Led by the Membership Committee, the Club plans to build off this new growth and energy in early 2026 by launching an all-out effort to recruit new members.
Here’s how the campaign will work…
Each member will be asked to recruit one new member between January 15 and April 15, 2026. Members will be provided with a tri-fold brochure that explains the features and benefits of Club membership, as well as a one-page sheet of “talking points” for use in recruiting new members.
The Membership Committee will designate a point person for you to contact when recruiting a new member. The point person will track when your recruit signs up for membership. The sponsoring member will be contacted when the person signs up, OR if he/she does not sign up within a prescribed period of time, so that the sponsoring member can follow up.
Members will be encouraged to bring prospective new members to the February and/or April dinner meetings, and prospects will be given the opportunity to become members on the spot.
“We understand that not everyone will be able to recruit a new member. However, if we all make an effort, we are confident that we can achieve our goal of signing up 30 new members,” said Membership Co-chair Stan Chesshir.
As an incentive to recruit a new member, a guided day of fishing with Brian Silvey will be raffled off. Members will receive one raffle ticket for each member they recruit. The drawing of the winner will take place at the end of the campaign.
You will receive more information and materials in early January. In the interim, if you have questions or suggestions, contact Stan Chesshir at stan@chesshir architecture.com
