Conservation Grants

Restoration. Education. Research. Engagement.

The Flyfisher Foundation Grant Program

The Flyfisher Foundation is proud to offer a grant program designed to support initiatives that align with our mission of conservation, education, and the preservation of the fly fishing heritage. Through our grants, we aim to fund projects that have a meaningful impact on Oregon’s aquatic ecosystems, promote sustainable angling practices, and foster a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Our Mission

Our grant program is guided by a commitment to protecting the environment, educating the public, and preserving the rich traditions of fly fishing. We believe that by investing in innovative projects and programs, we can help ensure that Oregon’s waters remain healthy and vibrant for generations to come.

What We Fund

The Flyfisher Foundation awards grants to organizations, institutions, and individuals who are working on projects that align with our core mission. We are particularly interested in funding initiatives in the following areas:

steep hills with lush valley

Conservation and Habitat Restoration

Projects that focus on the restoration and preservation of fish habitats, improvement of water quality, and protection of aquatic biodiversity. This includes efforts to restore native fish populations, enhance riparian zones, and mitigate the effects of climate change on Oregon’s waterways.

Environmental Education

Programs that educate the public, particularly young people, about the importance of environmental stewardship, sustainable fishing practices, and the ecological significance of Oregon’s rivers, lakes, and streams. We support educational initiatives that inspire the next generation of anglers and conservationists.

Scientific Research

Research projects that advance our understanding of aquatic ecosystems, fish biology, and the environmental factors affecting Oregon’s waters. We fund studies that provide critical data to inform conservation efforts and sustainable fishing practices.

Community Engagement

Initiatives that involve the local community in conservation and education efforts, including public outreach programs, volunteer-driven habitat restoration projects, and events that raise awareness about environmental issues impacting Oregon’s fisheries.
