SUMMARY:Northwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo
DESCRIPTION:About NW Expo\n\n\nSponsored by… \nThe Oregon Council of Fly Fishers International\, Inc. \nThe inaugural Northwest Fly Tyer Expo took place in Eugene\, Oregon\, in 1989 with the aim of bringing together fly-fishing enthusiasts and fly tyers to craft lifelike imitations of fish’s natural food sources using materials like feathers\, fur\, and thread and to exchange valuable knowledge. Due to its increasing popularity\, the event outgrew its original venue and had to be relocated to a larger facility. In 2007\, the expo found its new home at the Linn County Expo Center in Albany\, Oregon\, and also expanded to include a dedicated fly fishing education component. \nFifteen Northwest Expos later (minus two years due to COVID-19)\, the event has expanded to encompass a significant portion of the western region. Exhibitors now not only sell products but also educate attendees on how to support the fly fishing industry. The event has evolved to include Fly Tying\, Fly Fishing\, Casting\, Youth Participation\, and Conservation Education as integral components. \nThe NW Expo offers a comprehensive experience for anyone interested in fly fishing. This event provides a social\, educational\, and networking platform for families\, youth\, and individuals keen on learning about this distinctive sport. \n\nNorthwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo \nMarch 13th& 14th  2026  Daily 9AM-5PM PST \nLocation: Linn County Expo Center \nhttps://www.lcfairexpo.com/ \n3700 Knox Butte Rd E. \nAlbany\, OR 97322 \n(541) 926 – 4314

SUMMARY:Fly Fishing Collaborative's 11th Live Auction & Banquet
DESCRIPTION:  \nCreating sustainable solutions to Food Insecurity and Preventing Human Trafficking.\nFish Farm Collaborative builds sustainable aquaponic farms that feed families and strengthen communities around the world. \nWe focus on food insecurity because it is one of the most consistent drivers of vulnerability. When families lack reliable access to food\, the risk of exploitation rises. By addressing food insecurity upstream\, we help prevent human trafficking before it starts. \n\nOur work is practical.\nOur partnerships are local.\nOur impact is built to last.\n\nWe build aquaponic farms in communities facing food insecurity. These farms produce fish and vegetables year-round and are owned and operated by trusted local partners once complete. This approach allows Fish Farm Collaborative to remain nimble while communities lead long-term solutions. \n\nWe Build.\nWe Partner.\nWe Step Back.\n\nThere is a well-documented link between food insecurity and human trafficking. When families are stable and fed\, they are less vulnerable to exploitation. Our mission is programmatic and measurable. Our vision is aspirational. We go upstream to stop food insecurity and prevent human trafficking\, one community at a time. \nFish Farm Collaborative was founded in 2014 as Fly Fishing Collaborative. As the organization grew\, our work became clear. Sustainable food systems were the most direct and scalable way to address vulnerability and prevent trafficking upstream. Our name evolved to reflect our focus today. Through our sister platform\, Fish Well. Do Good.\, we continue to mobilize the fly-fishing community to support this mission through storytelling\, engagement\, and awareness. \nWe do not operate farms long term. We do not duplicate local leadership. Instead\, we partner with established organizations\, build infrastructure\, and transfer ownership. This model allows communities to thrive independently while Fish Farm Collaborative expands its reach. The result is global impact rooted in local leadership. \nThis is prevention that lasts. \nThis is food security with dignity. \nThis is impact that scales. \nSupport Fish Farm Collaborative and help go upstream. \nPurchase your ticket’s HERE for FFC’s 11th Annual Live Auction & Banquet!  \nFriday\, May 1st 2026 from 5-9pm at the Castaway in Portland\, OR \nContact Janey@fishfarmcollaborative.org for any questions or additional information.
